An Interview With Lady Gaga about her Role in Joker 2

Gary John Miller: Welcome, Lady Gaga! Congratulations on landing the role of Harley Quinn in Joker 2. How did you prepare for the role?

Lady Gaga: How does anyone prepare for anything, Gary? What does it mean to prepare, really?

Gary John Miller: Uh, well, I guess I mean how did you get into character?

Lady Gaga: How does one "get into character," Gary? Do you mean how did I become someone else?

Gary John Miller: Yes, that's what I mean.

Lady Gaga: How does anyone become someone else, Gary? Is it through imagination, or experience, or something else entirely?

Gary John Miller: Um, I guess it's a combination of those things.

Lady Gaga: How does one combine things, Gary? Is it like making a smoothie, or building a house?

Gary John Miller: I don't know, Lady Gaga. Can we talk about your decision to sing every line in the movie? That's a pretty bold choice.

Lady Gaga: How does one make choices, Gary? Is it through instinct, or analysis, or both?

Gary John Miller: I think it's usually a combination of those things.

Lady Gaga: How does one balance things, Gary? Is it like walking on a tightrope, or juggling knives?

Gary John Miller: Lady Gaga, I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

Lady Gaga: How does one get "at" things, Gary? Is it through metaphor, or direct language, or something else entirely?

Gary John Miller: You know what, Lady Gaga? I think we're done here.

Lady Gaga: How does one know when something is done, Gary? Is it through intuition, or logic, or both?

Gary John Miller: Goodbye, Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga: How does one say goodbye, Gary? Is it through words, or actions, or both?
